Effect of straw and wood biochar application on growth of Miscanthus × giganteus on marginal soil: a meso-scale study with shock short-term screening
In view of the ongoing climate crisis, environmentally sustainable alternatives to fossil fuels are needed to reduce carbon emission. Among viable options, biomass from energy crops seems a suitable solution in higher latitudes, to compensate for the solar energy deficiency in winter months characterized by short daylight. This study was funded by Gdansk University of Technology and the NICE project.
