Join the NICE Cities Panel (NCP)! Apply to exchange valuable knowledge for a Sustainable Urban Water Cycle

Does your city work with circular water initiatives, or is involved in ongoing initiatives to integrate nature-based solutions (NbS)? If so, you are invited to apply to become part of the NICE Cities Panel and improve your capacities for promoting Sustainable Urban Water Cycle. We are searching for around 10 cities to join our panel!

The NICE Cities Panel (NCP) integrates one of the main objectives of the NICE project, forming a vibrant community of practice. This community will be interested in widening the knowledge availability of NBS for water treatment and reuse in urban landscapes, aiming to mitigate water pollution and runoff, while enhancing water reuse through urban landscapes.

ICLEI Europe is coordinating the Nice Cities Panel, which will gather 11 NICE Urban Real Laboratories, the URLs (Pereira, Turin, Talavera, Algeciras, Benalmádena, Lyon, Cairo, Madrid, Vigo, Aarhus and Gdansk), and 7 NICE Fellow Sites (Ostrava, Vienna, Copenhagen, Tirana, Belgrade, Quito and Kunming) to exchange on their experiences with other cities on topics related to the analysis, the testing, the implementation, and the monitoring of nature-based solutions to mitigate water pollution and runoff to ensure a circular urban water system.

Joining the NICE Cities Panel will offer your city an opportunity to share knowledge on sustainable water management, and manifold events will help to discuss with other cities your uncovered technical issues and learn how to address problems. The NCP will establish a direct communication channel with the NICE URLs and FELLOWs, some of which might have similarities in geographic and cultural aspects with your city. Among the benefits, we include: developing better business models and stakeholder engagement strategies,  exchanging knowledge with URLs and NICE FELLOWs experiences, defining practices of co-creation and implementation of NBS together.

Applying is simple! Just fill out this survey to state your cities’ interest by 25 April.
