NICE utilises nature-based solutions to transform concrete jungles. NICE will analyse, test, implement, compare and monitor nature-based solutions to mitigate water pollution and runoff to create a circular urban water system.

GREEN WALLS
Vertical structures made of planted containers, allowing vegetation to grow on a façade.

VEGETABLE ROOFTOPS
A vegetated surface installed on a roof with an insulation-waterproof membrane and a substrate where plants develop.

RAIN GARDENS
Green plantations usually built close to impervious surfaces, such as concrete.
