NICE at WETPOL 2023
26 September 2023
Recently NICE partners had many successful presentations of our innovative research at this year’s 10th WETPOL conference in Bruges, Belgium. WETPOL stands for Wetland Pollutant Dynamics and Control, of which NICE experts know a thing or two about! You can learn more about the scope of the event here.
Apart from the presentations were field visits and of course ample time to connect on other’s research. The event served as a springboard for a new generation of wetland technology and nature-based solutions in water. NICE is already looking forward to next year’s conference.
These were our NICE expert speakers for the week:
Daniella Portella, ECOBIRD & INRAE - FORCED AERATION IN A VERTICAL FLOW WETLAND TO TREAT COMBINED SEWER OVERFLOW
Mayang Perdana, Czech Republic & Aahrus team - EFFECT OF GRANULOMETRY AND LOADING RATE IN VERTICAL SAND BED FILTER FOR PATHOGEN REMOVAL OF MUNICIPAL WASTEWATER
Fabio Masi, POLITO & IRIDRA - GUIDELINES FOR DESIGNING GREEN ROOFS AND GREEN WALLS FOR GREYWATER TREATMENT AND REUSE
Magdalena Gajewska, GUT - TREATMENT CAPACITY OF ENHANCED RAIN GARDEN – CASE STUDY IN GDAŃSK
Rubén Hervas, AQUALIA - CIRCULAR URBAN WATER SOLUTIONS WITH NATURE-BASED SOLUTIONS: URBAN REAL LABS IN SPAIN
Stay tuned for next week where we will update you on the outcomes from our recent meeting in Talavera de la Reina and our site visit with INTEXT in the Toledo region.
